Choose the edge before choosing the white
The best trim for Limewash depends on the fixed whites and the amount of contrast you want. Compare a close boundary with a clearer outline before selecting a named white. Limewash SW-9589 specifies a color; selecting it does not determine mineral composition, translucency or a textured decorative application.
Plaster texture can change the surface's appearance independently of the color, so approve a finish sample as well as a paint chip.
Put the trim sample in its real orientation
Hold the trim strip vertically against Limewash at the baseboard and door casing positions. Include the ceiling white if it will remain. Check the join at eye level and from the doorway, where the outline is read as part of the whole room. Keep a cabinet-door sample visible if that white cannot be changed.
The manufacturer's coordinating suggestions include White Sand SW9582, Restoration SW9578 and Cracked Pepper SW9580. These are separate named colors to sample, not interchangeable formulas.
